Students at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Florham Campus, located in Madison, NJ have been named to the Dean's and Honors Lists for the Spring 2017 semester.

Coastal Carolina University's held a commencement ceremony for an estimated 390 candidates for graduation Aug. 4, 2017, at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center on campus. In his remarks, commencement speaker John Hutchens, biology professor and ecologist, encouraged graduates to take time in the future to interact with nature and with other people. "In today's high tech world we are often racing along at breakneck speed, but being outside slows you down and allows you to experience the rhythms of nature," said Hutchens. "You can actually hear yourself think and you can be a part of something bigger than yourself."

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2017 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Eastern Connecticut State University's annual graduation ceremony was held at the XL Center in Hartford on May 16, with more than 12,000 family members and friends cheering on their sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, as 1,180 undergraduates and 58 graduate students received their diplomas.

Coastal Carolina University has announced that 745 students made the President's honor list for high academic achievement for the 2017 Spring Semester. To qualify for the President's List for high academic achievement, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.

In her remarks to Coastal Carolina University's Class of 2017, commencement speaker Amber J. Campbell encouraged graduates to be true to themselves and their own course in life instead of relying too much on conventional wisdom. "Don't listen to 'they,' because 'they' will tell you all kinds of things," said Campbell, an Olympic athlete and 2004 CCU graduate. " 'They' don't always have your best interests at heart. 'They' will try to talk you out of your dream. 'They' will tell you that what you're pursuing doesn't make sense or that the career you chose is too obscure. Meanwhile, you might end up a three-time Olympian and travel the world!"
